How to dress more for my body shape

My measurements are shoulders:37.5 bust:34 waist:26 hips:36
Wearing baggy sweaters tends to make me look larger than i actually am and i’m overall really bad at picking clothes to suit my figure need some help

You have fab measurements! I m sure that you will get lots of good advice from the forum.I m no expert but with a 26inch waist I would start by showing that off.It would be a real shame to cover a figure like that in baggy jumpers.

I agree with Cardiff girl: Try cropped sweaters, fitted jackets, high-waisted pants, belts--anything to accentuate that waist!

What is your height? Could make a difference.

I am a tallish (5'8") hourglass, but I would guess that my measurements on a 5'1" would look a whole lot different.

In any case, you've been very perceptive in noticing that "baggy" does't work for everyone. You don't have to go super body-con or skin-tight-tailored, but good fit across the shoulders, at the waist and hips, makes everyone look good I think.

Without seeing pictures, I am thinking that clothing designed to show off your waist would be good (body con, fitted, princess seaming). Belts could be your best accessory. If you prefer not to go with fitted styles, I think dresses would be great for you: sheath and a-line come to mind. I think most skirt styles outdo be great on you when paired with either a cropped or fitted top.

You might like to try a wrap dress. They’re particularly good on those with a defined waist I believe.
