A silly question, but with running they say to leave 1/2-1" in the toe box; this obviously doesn't work with heels. How much toe room do you have? And if a toe touches the end of the shoe when you put weight on your foot (but not when you stand), would you size up and get a gel strip for the heel? Or would the leather stretch? I'm afraid that if I size up the shoes will be too long.

Heel-wearers, I need your wisdom and expertise in this department.

Never been a heel wearer due to severe hereditary bunions, but for these John Fluevog's that I caught on sale, I might make an exception. Thanks to the YLFer who brought his name to my attention! They seemed to fit perfectly when I tried them on, but I'm worry about toe-bumping...but then, don't toes always slide to the end in heels, or is my physics off?
