How often is too often to wear my new dress?

I recently purchased this amazing Banana Republic denim dress after a very very long search. I was suprised that it looks good!
I am always pretty casual, i dont really have anyplace to wear it! I am thinking i could wear it this spring with espadrilles.
All that said, how often is too often to wear it? I feel like the dress is memorable. Just curious what others think about this.

I'm not one that has any issue with repeating items ... to me, if it's clean, it's fair game to wear! With my at-home lifestyle, I wear my faves multiple times a week easily. That said, when I used to work downtown, I would generally not repeat an outfit more than once per week - maybe two if it was really memorable. I know there are people who feel even that is too much, but that's my opinion!

Beautiful denim dress. I would wear it weekly or even twice a week if it makes you happy. You can change the accessories each time to make it look so different as it is a great canvas. I am envious, it reminds me of my first denim dress in 1978 that I have never been able to duplicate. If it were not for crazy shipping costs to where I live I would copy cat you immediately. You can also wear it across seasons, pop a turtleneck underneath or a long sleeve T. FWIW I think of a denim dress as casual, try and frame it in your mind as casual as a pair of jeans and even wear it at home. It should only get better with wear like a good pair of jeans does.

ETA: Great idea from Carla to wear it as a duster too.

I’m in Star’s camp, and would wear it whenever the mood strikes - including two days in a row, if I felt like it! Change up sneakers for sandals, kerchief at the neck or open as a duster over pants and T. I have a high tolerance for repeating and a modest sized closet.

Nice addition for your closet, and looks like an easy piece to wear.

For work, if your wardrobe permits I would go with every other week, and styled differently as advised by Helena. For casual, who cares?

In the places where I see the same people every day (in the past), like an office I would wear something like it once in two weeks. In my off duty life, I prefer not to wear a same garment on two consecutive days, I like to air out my clothes & shoes between use but would feel perfectly fine to wear it a few times a week.

It's a wonderful dress. To work, I'd wear it every week. For other things, whenever I wanted. Yes, it's memorable. I don't see that as a problem that would keep you from wearing it all the time.

At home, wear it everyday if you want. Out and about- if you see the same people every day, then once a week.

I'd wear that every day! Love it! Let others deal with it if it's a problem for them to see you in the same outfit. Wear what you want.

I have a very distinctive puffy sleeved top and have been feeling OK to wear it to work once a week.
At the weekend I happily repeat any time.
It’s a lovely dress!

I was going to suggest sometimes wearing it as a duster too! Maybe once a week, maybe twice if you're seeing different people. You may think others notice, but You don't want to get tired of it too quickly!

Too often is more than twice a week. You can wear a denim more often than a floral.

I have been working on not "saving" my clothes. Easier said than done!
But all of the comments here are pretty much in sync... its great to hear. I will get my moneys worth on this dress!

Wear it open as a duster over trousers, closed with a jumper over the top as a skirt, with a layer underneath as a dress, or even with a wider skirt over the top as a top!

Like Irina, I let me clothes air out after each wear, but by hanging them on the back of my door. If they aren't dirty enough for a wash, I then mix & match them with other new pieces to create another outfit on the hanger. May be something to consider when it comes to workshopping your dress into new looks before laundry day

I agree- once a week is fine. I can see there are lots of ways to style this - great choice!

I tend not to repeat for work in the same week- I wear the same shoes or blazer or pants - but not the same outfit. But the guys I work with repeat all the time!!

These three dresses I wear for work - i might wear them three weeks in a row then not fit a week then wear them again.

Wasn't there some experiment done a few years ago where a woman wore the same dress to work every day and she found out no one cared at all? Let's be curious about where the idea comes from that we all must have a new and different outfit everyday. And isn't it actually a very new idea in the history of clothes? And isn't it lead by advertising and consumerist culture? Also, the idea that one can only wear something x many times a week (or it's too much) seems like one of those old useless fashion ideas of yesteryear...like "no white after labor day" kind of thing...so arbitrary, so abstract. Let's be radical and normalize wearing the same thing often...if we want to, I mean. If you get bored, well, that's another matter.
