I grew up with extremely frugal parents. I have had a hard time determining how much to spend on clothes in my adulthood. Somehow I have come to a comfortable understanding of my price ranges with everything except handbags. I work in a corporate setting that is somewhat conservative in a suburban setting. I am comfortable financially, which is probably feeding into my discomfort. (If I weren’t, it would be easy to just go as low as I could.). I am trying to understand if the $300 price tag for a handbag that I like (or love) is a reasonable budget for me, especially given that anything over $25 seems too much. Knowing my habits, I’ll use it for a year everyday and then replace it.

Any words of advice?
