I have a pair of high brown suede boots that I wear with skirts and a pair of red shorter boots that I wear with pants. I've been wearing these two pairs most of the winter. Once in a while I'll mix in loafers, grey wedge heels or ballet flats with trouser socks. I also have a pair of snow specific boots, but they're strictly gear.

I feel like I might need one more pair of winter shoes/boots, but want to keep my wardrobe small. I like Angie's advice about getting by with six pairs, but I wonder if people get tired of seeing the same ones all season! I'd like to wear skirts more, but I don't want to wear the same brown boots every time.

Can I ask, how many pairs of shoes or boots are in your regular winter rotation? Do you wear boots to work, then change into warmer weather shoes?
