How many pair of bootcut jeans do you currently own?

Angie's recent post on bootcut jeans being a refreshing change from the straight/skinny pant look got me thinking. As a latecomer to skinny/straights (two years ago), I initially hesitated going back to bootcuts. But I recently tried on some outfits for fall and decided that I'm liking the bootcut silhouette with pointy toe boots. Non-pointy boots just don't seem as modern right now--at least for my style.

I'm down to 3 pair of boot cuts right now:
1 white pair
1 medium wash pair hemmed for low heels/flats
1 dark wash pair hemmed for high heels

How many bootcuts do you currently own? Are you going to wear them? With what footwear?

I currently have three pairs, Nancy: two medium blue wash (one pair baby bootcuts, the other slightly more flared), and one very dark wash. I've never completely stopped wearing them, and definitely never stopped loving them, but during the last two years I preferred wearing straight legs with booties. This Summer I started "feeling" the bootcuts again, and will absolutely be wearing them more often this Fall (when it's not raining:-) Like you, I think they feel "fresh" with pointy toe boots, but I'll also wear them with my not so pointy footwear.

In jeans, just one pair, and I left them behind in Tahoe. In trousers I have 3 pair, but they are more wide legged than bootcut I suppose.
I have 2 straight leg jeans and then the rest are skinnies. I really don't own that many jeans anymore, so 'the rest' means about 7 pair I guess?
I don't plan on wearing my bootcuts this year. I had to make a choice among my winter clothes which few to bring and they did not make the cut. They still fit great but have a fleur de lis design on the pocket that dates them somewhat, although it has personal significance to me.

I own one pair of bootcut jeans. I hope they will work with my new pointy toed booties, but they might not.

I own one pair of wide leg trousers, too. And that is it!

Two pairs. One medium blue, hemmed for 1-2" heels. These are a little wider throughout the leg. The other pair is dark wash, skinny in the thigh with a moderate bootcut opening. These are hemmed for 3" heels. Both are true bootcuts, which break at the knee, rather than baby bootcuts. I prefer the higher break as I think it is more flattering on my body.

I wore the dark ones on Saturday with my new EF platform booties and am wearing the lighter ones today with my Hi-Nesses. I would own more except bootcuts don't seem to come in nearly so many interesting washes and patterns as skinnies.

I also have one pair of grey wide leg trousers.

I have two - one dark, one faded. Same cut and brand... I don't wear them often but they are a perfect fit and hard to give up.

It sounds like most of us have whittled our bootcut collections down to 1-3 pair.

Now that you mention it, I have 4. Two denim, one of I now know is too short but wear anyway, one olive and one white. I really only have one pair of skinny jeans but they aren't all that skinny.

I have two pairs, both medium wash. One pair is rather faded; I wore them a lot when I took riding lessons. I'm sure I will wear them more often when it's cool enough to wear my cowboy boots again. I haven't been taking lessons for a few months, and over the summer I was in a skinny boyfriend jeans kick. The boot cut jeans do look nice with my cowboy boots.

I own 3 pairs and have been sporting them weekly along with my other styles. I wear mine with cowboy boots, round toe heels and wedge sneakers. I find pointy toes difficult to fit, so I generally wear a rounder toe shape. My heel height is 2 inches or less.

None at all, the last and only one I have ever had "died" 3 or 4 years ago, I loved them (Levi's). Would be great with heels and pointy toes, but I think that will be impossible for me - my poor aching feet!

Goose eggs! But if just the right pair of baby boot cuts jumped in my lap, I'd have to try them. I think you should wear yours and enjoy them. It's such a good cut for you. Skinnies are a better cut for me, and I'm sure I'll wear them long after the frenzy over them has passed.

One medium wash baby boot (new), one white baby boot, one charcoal black, one dark wash suitable only for very flat shoes, and one dark wash that is closer to a flared jean -- so five. The first two are the newest and get the most wear, but I am most apt to reach for my straight cut jeans.

None. Boot cuts never appealed to me, even when they were the newest, trendiest thing. Primarily, they are not flattering on me. I am not terribly tall, and I don't feel boot cuts do anything at all to make me look taller or thinner. Granted, not all wardrobe items must work toward that end, but given that I never liked the style to begin with, I never felt the need to learn to make it work for me when it clearly doesn't. Straight legs are a good compromise for me.

And while I love a good, classic almond shaped toe, pointy toes have never appealed to me, either. I do see how boot cuts and pointy toes are very attractive on other people, but pointy toes are generally take to an illogical extreme by the end of their trend cycle and tend to look ridiculous. Last time they were trendy, the toes got so long and so pointy that there would be over an inch and a half of shoe extending beyond my toe. I couldn't bring myself to buy shoes like that, and they left a bad taste in my mouth for most pointy toes after that.

This forum is helping me distinguish my personal style, and neither boot cuts nor pointy toes are right for me, trends be d*mned.

Two, one black and one dark blue, both Kuts. I like to wear the blues with my hi nesses, but will wear both with any chunky boots. They are both hemmed for a small heel.

I love bootcuts! They are best silhouette for me. I have alot!

9 pair of blue denim in various shades
6 colored pair: red, aqua, purple, lime, fuchsia and black but the red are more flared than the rest
2 pair of twill slacks: black and khaki
2 pair of cords: black and khaki
8 pair of yoga/knit/lounge type

I wear them with all types of footwear including Converse and my very loved cowboy boots!

I have one pair of bootcut jeans that I never wear. Ever. I wore them last in 2011. I keep them just in case I need a pair of "muck about jeans". I am not into bootcut jeans.

But I love bootcut trousers. I wear those a lot. I want to wear a wider hem in a softer fabric. End of story.

I am a straight leg jeans gal. My skinnies are pretty straight. Don't do jeggings or body con.

Wow! A wide diversity of opinions here, and an equally wide variety of bootleg jean collections: from Ingunn with zero to Cheryl with 15+. It's a good thing all shapes and sizes of pant leg are in style to accommodate us all.

It's been helpful for me to read all your answers as to why you choose (or don't choose) certain denim silhouettes over others. Hearing your opinions helps me better form and understand my own. Like Echo said, this forum is so wonderful for helping us each understand where we are on our style journeys.

I just bought a pair in my new size from Old Navy. I was just feeling the "hey, it's fall, I need a new pair of jeans" vibe, ya know? Total I maybe own 5, somewhere along those lines. I think the shape is pretty flattering on me, but I have to admit that the distinction between straightlegs and bootlegs isn't always clear to me - some that the stores call one I could call the other, at least in my size, and vice versa.

I have 3 pairs...

1 dark wash for heels
1 med. wash for heels
1 dark wash for flats

The last pair won't be replaced. I've decided I don't like boot cuts with flats. But I don't want to stop wearing boot cuts with heels any time soon. They create amazing curves on my straight body.

This is so funny! I just wrote on Shannon's thread that I have saved exactly one pair of bootleg jeans, then I saw this thread. Ok, it was funny for me. I got rid of the rest of my bootlegs and now have only straights, skinnys and that one bootleg.

I think my Gap Long and Leans might qualify as boot cut jeans. Otherwise I don't own any.

I have one pair of dark wash bootcuts and one pair of flares. I did not wear them much last year but I am not letting them go because they fit well and because they are very flattering for my body.
Maybe this year will be a year of more bootcut jeans wear for me?
I don't have bootcut trousers but I have wide legs...

I have one dark wash bootcuts... I have trouser jeans in both black and dark wash. A few straight legs and several skinny's...
