2 t-shirt bras from Calvin Klein and 2 bralette works for me. Probably depends on bra size and if you using bra to sleep, lounge at home, etc.

I have like 8 or 9 every day bras for work, and I have 4 or 5 for not work. Work is outdoors and dirty and sweaty and sticky so my everyday bras are the ones that are comfortable, easy-care, wireless, and not expensive. I have fair quality everyday bras, and decent quality not-work bras.

I probably don't need that many bras, but i do try and keep bras for different colored tops so that there's not a glaring white bra under my semi-sweet grey tunic tank.

For me, I think eight and I wish I had half of them strapless, but I don’t have that many strapless. Hard to find. Hard to find more than one at any given time. I do like strapless because a) my shoulders slope and straps always slide and b) the bakery is a hot place, I wear a lot of sleeveless tops.

I have four, plus a couple of special-purpose ones. I try to replace one each quarter, so that’s a year of wear each, but sometimes I skip on that or replace a special-purpose bra instead of an everyday one, so more realistically, they go 18 months between replacements.

I uses all my bras for everyday but hand wash and do not wear them two days in a row. I wear each twice between washings and air drying. They are then stored in fabric boxes Kondo style on closet shelves. After one wear they are hung on a hook in the closet. I have about 8 in rotation and a few colors that get worn with some usually sleeveless dresses. They get bought for the color of the straps that may show. Most everyday bras are nude or black, the easiest to find and replace.

I just replaced my 4 favorite underwire bras with 2 nude wire-free tee-shirt bras. I may add one more for winter, once I see how they play with layers and heattech. Last year, I bought a heattech bra top for under sweaters,, so didn’t need the bra. I may do that again this year.

I wear bralettes, not bras. I wanna say I have 2 nude, 4 black, and a colourful one (burgundy!), so 7 total. This works out, though not intentionally, as a good number for a two-week laundry cycle. I generally wear a bralette 2 or 3 times before laundering. I've had my favourite style discontinued a few times, so when I find one I like, I make sure to buy a back-up. I'm fine with having a larger rotation and replacing less often; it gives me a chance to find a new model if I can't track down direct replacements.

I have 10 bras, 8 of which are in regular rotation. One strapless and one push up bra. I recently purchased some wire free Coobie bras, which are both comfortable and offer some shaping. I'm bummed that I can't find the Betsey Johnson bras that I like. So I guess I'll go back to Wacoal and b'temptd bras when it's time to replenish at the end of the year.

Seven, including two sports bras which I wear only for exercise. Of the other five, one is a white strapless; the others are regular, with straps, in an assortment of colors including white and black.

I’d like to find a black strapless bra, and I also wouldn’t minding having two regular white bras, so as to have a back up when one is in the laundry.

4-5 at most times. I usually buy two at a time, and sometimes three, if they’re on sale. I try to replace them every 12 months, but sometimes it stretches to 18 months.

Ok, I’ll be the excessive outlier again. I’ve got a lot, since I find that with the hot weather here I can only wear them once before washing most of the year, and you always seem to need the color that’s in the wash so I duplicate whenever I can afford to. It’s double digits for sure, and that’s not counting my sports bras which I keep in a different place.

I generally have around 5 (plus sports bras which I also have 5)

I like a mix of dark and light colours - I have a variety of styles. I do need a couple of new additions with pretty straps.

I have at home bras and public bras. Right now I have 3 at home, 2 new going out plus an older one that is not my favorite. I have not found the magic bra that works for both.

Hey, thanks for the swift and hepful replies, all! I needed to hear this feedback today because the window for purchasing the style I love at NAS is about to close. Feeling set with 4 which leaves me room to purchase one or two more later in the year if needed.

I live in a hot climate, so probably have more than many! All my everyday bras are the same, Bendon Barely There, with some minor variations - some have more lace than others. I'm pretty flexible with that.
I have two pale bras (white, cream). Then 4 black bras, which I wear a lot of the time. Then I have 2 bras of whatever colour I like that is on sale (currently grey marle and deep mid blue).
In addition to these I have 2 bralettes (mainly worn on the boat and not much at home) and 2 strapless (one skin colour, one black).

DH just complained that he just washed my bras so I think I need to add more.
I try to wear each twice before laundering them, but sweating often means just once.
I also realized after reading the above answers that the 2 old backups really need to be replaced.

8 sports bras (wear daily and wash after each wear)

All mine are suitable for all-purpose use; I don’t wear evening clothes or need strapless or different strap configurations. Most are underwire but a few are structured wireless - no bralets or lounging bras. I wash them in regular machine wash after a day’s wearing, and hang to dry. I have eight that are nude, and around 6 more that are black, navy, dark gray, and dark purple. They actually last for a few years, probably because I have many. I hate bra shopping, and the expense, so would rather buy several at a time every few years, I guess.

I’m not disclosing how many I have, but IMHO the number one needs depends on how often one wants to do the wash, taking into account drying time and occasions when one might not be able to wash such as while traveling. Nothing is more annoying than a laundry bottleneck.
