I'm currently seriously job searching and interviewing for new positions and it is such a stressful experience. I'm being very picky this time around though, as I currently have a decent job and I want to find the *right* fit that may turn into a career. It will be a bittersweet change but I feel it's time.

But the interview process is so weird and stressful... after the interview I always send a thank you email within 24 hours... but then what? Do I wait for them to reciprocate or can I follow up again in a week or so? I suppose if they were interested in me I'd hear back, but... is there anything else I can do?

For example, I interviewed for a position I am VERY interested in and it seemed to go so well! I sent a thank-you note and he responded with some additional questions for me. Now it's been a week and I haven't heard back. Is it okay for me to email him and see if I can answer any further questions, etc?
