I am starting to get that itchy hair feeling... not lice... just boredom with my hair and in need of a change.

I probably won't do this, but these styles appealed to me. I have been wondering how such looks would go down at work.

I like 1 for you. If I recall you have somewhat thick hair, right?

As for work appropriateness - depends on your field. You prob know better than we do what would be ok vs not.

Lice comment was funny!

I think either of the styles you've shown here would look splendid on you -- and perfectly professional. Love the asymmetrical cuts and I think either would go along with your arty eclectic style. The great thing about hair is that, unless you completely shave your head, you can always tweak it a bit if you are not entirely pleased with the look. I understand that itchy-not lice (LOL!) feeling. Last year, I had my hair chopped to a near-pixie style… and this year I have added asymmetrical bangs and large magenta streaks. (P.S. -- I, too, am an arty eclectic type.)

I think you could pull this off. On of the chicest girls I knew had an asymmetric bob with one side chin length and one side shaved similar to 1 - her cut had bangs. It was exquisite and that was 1985. You have a great face for this kind of cut, it matches you aesthetic and works well with your clothing choices and from the pics it looks like your hair would be perfect too. I'm a big yes. Everything looks professional if you dress professionally, are groomed, and you do upkeep on the cut. High maintenance. I have a short bob and I get trims monthly to keep it looking sharp! Can't wait to see what you do!! Good luck!

I find 1 much edgier than 2, because the waves in 2 sort of mask the punk.

I'm not fond of either picture. I think because the hair is blonde. I prefer this type of look on dark hair.

I think it would look great on you. However am I wrong in thinking your work environment is conservative? If it is then I think this cut may be too much of a statement.

If I were to do this, I would definitely stay dark... I have never successfully gone blonde (although I would love love love Sarah the White colour hair!)

I work at an insurance company but I think that I could probably get away with it in the office. I think pretty much anything goes as long as we keep to the business smart/casual dress code.

I think the question for me is how edgy a look would I feel comfortable with - something I am thinking on at the moment!
