How do you wear boyfriend jeans in fall/winter?

I like boyfriend jeans and I'm wearing them with sandals and flats.

But I'm struggling to see how they are going to work in the winter. Do you wear them with tall boots underneath? Booties? But with booties how do you deal with the strip of exposed skin over the booties?

I'm going to wear them with ankle boots and roll them such that a strip of skin is exposed.

I wear mine tucked into boots! It's too cold where I live to have a strip of exposed skin in the winter.

I wore mine tucked into boots last winter and with booties in the fall. Like Ceit, the winters are too cold here to expose a strip of skin but I think the skin exposure makes the BF look so much better.
I am really enjoying my GAP BF's this summer with flats, sandals and pumps. I think they really are meant for summer.

I wore ones that were hemmed a bit longer so that I could wear them over booties. I loved the look.

Oh, good point. My larger slouchier pair I can wear full-length over booties.

Last winter I tried it all! Rolled over booties, scrunched over lace-up ankle boots, tucked into short boots, tucked into tall boots, rolled over mid-calf boots. With the tapered ankle, they proved to be pretty darn versatile for me.

My BF's were full length, so I just wore them as I would a regular jean.
