I think a zen closet would look like one of those fancy boutiques. . .where I don't shop and where they treat me with disdain because they know I don't there. My closet is definitely not like that, but it is no longer a torture chamber after I purged all those pieces that had been hanging around since the '80s that I hadn't worn in years. I still have a few things I ought to purge, but I bought almost everything within the past few years. Toppers and tops are color sorted; jeans are sorted by shape. I don't have many slacks, skirts, or dresses, but they each have their section.
My drawers could stand to be sorted and purged. And the rest of my place is a disaster. My closet is really the only place under control.
