Put me in the anti-sequins and anti-embellishments camp.

For starters, it's just not my style. Beyond that, I think sequins and/or embellishments limit a garment's versatility. Also, I have really nice necklaces I like to wear. Sequins and embellishments compete with the jewelry.
I've developed a poison eye for embellishments lately, partly because they are limiting, like Ruth says. But it conjures up bigger problems for me because that's one of the things that plus-size retailers have been doing for years -- putting sequins and rhinestones and whatnot on cheaply made clothes in order to make them look "fancy".

However, I like the graphic boldness of this particular shirt -- having just one bit with sequins on it seems more interesting to me than the random embroidered flowers with sequins in the middle that seem to plague the fat lady stores.
