How do you feel about purchasing new clothes/dresses on online stores?

Every Girl, if not most, love dresses.... I particular love them... however i find that when i buy from onlinewebsites (in particular) there is always a problem. its ither the fit of the dress or the material. or it does not look the way it was advertised.. I love dresses that accentuates my curves.. I want to know, are all dresses this probalamitic (i am not talking about high end dresses).... what are you expectaions of dresses... what do you want a dress to adress (accentuates curves, hide probalamitic areas, creat silhouttes, etc) I would love to know your opinions and experiences. Thanks

I buy them online all the time, but only from places with easy and free returns. I will either mail them back, if return shipping is free, or take them to the store if there is one in my area.

If they don't make it easy for me, I shop elsewhere. So many other places that do make it easy. Nordstrom's is my favorite, with Zappos and Amazon a close second. I know, Amazon is not known for clothes, but sometimes you can get lucky there. They have free shipping and returns on their clothes if not all of their departments.

I would guess 95% of my clothes have been purchased on line since the birth of my daughter.

I buy online most of the time for personal safety (I seem to have bad luck at malls) and because it's pretty easy to return with one quick dash into a store. I also do buy from places with poor return policies but I make sure that I know the brand.

I have difficulty fitting dresses, whether bought online or in-store. I'm short-waisted and often I find dresses are designed for bustier ladies. In the past I've sized up (for extra material) and then had the dress redone to fit me.

But I don't buy much online. It's a hassle for me.

I buy dresses online regularly but expect to have to hem them shorter since I'm 5'1". Through some trial and error, I can usually guess if a particular dress will work for me or not. I know what shapes I like and what shapes fit my body the best. So I usually stick to those and have fewer returns than I used to do.

I agree about buying from stores with good return policies.

I buy online and alter myself if I can. Sometimes you luck out and know your body well enough. It's not always a happy ending. You should at least know what silhouettes work best for your body type.
