Love it. I don't own a bikini at all (can't find my size here) but I do intend to buy one when I'm traveling to UK and a high waist bikini bottom is exactly what I'm going to pick

I like the retro look on others, but lower rise bikinis are all I wear. My rear view doesn't need to be multiplied the way a high waisted one would.

I saw her swimsuits first at Nordies Pop-up shop. Not cheap, but really well made & cute. Even met the designer I tried to special order my size, designer said it'd be possible. Was told by sales associate that they'd make it happen, they didn't.
Honestly the whole experience, not the designers fault at all, it left a bad taste. This isn't the first time for me that Nordies has over promised & failed to deliver.
Nordies has a few of her pieces on their website now, but super limited sizes, which is amusing as the designer pushes making swimwear for a huge variety of body types & sizes.
If I get my tropical vacation I'm ordering a high waisted bikini from her, no matter my size.
ETA she also makes a variety of rises & one pieces

I think they're retro-cute on women who have a long enough waist for them (so, not me!). One caveat, if you care: men think they're fugly.

I have a long rise. I am not sure if I would wear them or not. I haven't tried them. I love long rise jeans though. I have switched to wearing only them. My bikini bottoms are boy short style, so they are not skinny mini, but they aren't long rise either. (I suppose that a bikini is skinny mini by definition right! )

I love the look but don't think it suits me. (Short waisted) . I liked seeing the range Anna linked to. I feel like Goldilocks, though, some are cut too high, some are cut too low, and only one looks just right for me!

Nodding along with Az and Helen -- the short-waisted problem is what kills it for me. High waists make it look like there is nothing between my boobs and my hips. And yes, my hubs doesn't care for tha look on anyone, regardless of body type, so I don't think a lot of men are fans of the look. Not that we're all dressing for the men, but I know that if I'm going to wear something like a swimsuit around my husband, I'd rather wear something both he and I like to look at.

If you mean the kind that come up over your belly button, then no, not for me at least. I think the kind that come up just under your belly button can work depending on how it works with your stomach area. I wear them slightly high but not over the belly button. Really low rise can accentuate a belly sometimes so I think just like shorts you have to find your own sweet spot.

I have short waist but a long rise and I actually like them. It might not be the most flattering but I like the retro vibe and they stay put, unlike a lot of lower rise bottoms. I can't say I've ever asked if DH likes them or not - it's hard enough finding a bathing suit that I like!

I'm inclined to think they won't work for me because I am short waisted, but Dee, your comment makes me want to try. I am not sure if my rise is long or not and it seems like that is important.

Anna, I have a Malia Mills bikini from about 5 or 6 years ago with a medium-high bottom where you can cinch the sides. You're right: great quality but expensive. I'm actually not sure if I still have it - I have to check. I'd been looking at her high rises when I wrote this post actually! I love the calendar girl. But I think these suits may look better on curvier women. Still unsure if I want to take the plunge, given the price. (Her styles and colors/patterns are really my favorite suits overall. She has the best choices for small-chested women who don't want to try to make their small breasts into something they're not.)

I like them in theory a lot but find them difficult in practice. Slightly short waisted but long in the rise so they emphasize my "long" area and cut me into weird bits.

Having read Suz's comment, maybe that is what I meant when I said it didn't work on some people. Obviously, I didn't want to stare, but I might have recognized some weird proportions. This is my fear. I might not recognize weird proportions on myself.

If you have thr right body for it then it looks great! Otherwise it looks like a diaper to me.
