Ok, kind of a bizarre and highly specific question, but an issue I've been having recently is that belts (self ties, mostly) that tie in the back are uncomfortable when I sit, as the knot/bow digs into my back.
I have gotten a couple of new dresses (see the finds) that have self ties. In recent history I've either ditched the tie altogether or replaced with a buckled belt, but for the new dresses I would prefer to use the self tie. (On the solid COS one, the tie is both integral to the style and can only be tied in back.)
I prefer to tie my self tie belts in the back because it's a cleaner line and I don't like extra stuff cluttering up my short waist in the front. Any suggestions for a knot or tie that doesn't make a big lump? My current solution is shift the knot to the side when I sit but it's kind of awkward and annoying to do that all the time.
