How do these pants look?

I can't find pants that hang right. And yet, I'm a pants wearer. It's a frustrating and never ending quest.

How are these, though? I don't like them. I bought them and thought I did but the bottom bunches up oddly and there's extra fabric in strange places. Is this just me? Should I return them?

I don't really see how this is very wrong on you: Is it the slouchy legs? They look like they are supposed to be that way, so then it is a matter of preferences. Do they bag out after some wear? That is annoying, of course.

I'm not very helpful here, I know, but I wanted to tell you that your pants look just fine to my eye. You are looking great!

Celia, they're very comfortable. I just don't like how they bunch up at the bottom. They're not supposed to be slouchy. They didn't do that when I bought them.

I see, sometimes fabrics behave badly with time.
It is annoying when we wanted something to have a certain look and it doesn't, however they look good on you. Can you think of them as your slouchy pants?

I find they look great in the photo, but maybe it's not the same seeing them in person. If you want them to not bunch though, maybe just have them shortened a tad?

Thanks y'all ... I guess I'm being too picky. But I don't want slouchy pants. I wan pants that hang straight and are slightly tapered and I can't find them anywhere. There's always something off, like this bunching. And runnerrae, the bunching stays even if I roll them up. So it's the way they hang, not the length. Does anyone know where to get slacks cut straight but with a taper that look decent? Like, a rommier skinny leg, if that makes sense?

Frustrated I am.

I think the pants look great. In terms of the bunching you could always try cuffing them for a quick fix, or find a seamstress to take them in for good. If you feel confident in the pants, I think that they're a definite keep!

The pants look nice. I know what you're talking about, tho. Trousers are the bane of my existence. That perfect fit and style is elusive.

When you purchased those pants, were you wearing those same brown shoes? Even a small change in heel height and cut of shoe can make a difference in how pants hang IMHO.

DonnaF, it was the same shoes actually. I think it's because it's a stretch material, that it changed.

I think your last post actually identifies the problem - do these pants have a percentage of stretch/ spandex in them? I find that, for some brands, if the pants have a spandex component, it can start to stretch out and look bunchy after wearing them for a few hours. I have a pair of pants that do the same thing. Drives me absolutely batty.

They look just fine here, so it must be how it feels or something we can't see. I have a pair of Gap Ponte knits that start to stretch out in the rear, do you think they could be too big?
