How do I get in?

I procrastinated and didn't sign up for my Nordstrom card until the first day of preselections. Now I'm wanting to go in store to try on a few things. I've never been to the store during preselections time.

Do you have to show your card to get in the magic sale back room?

Can they look me up somehow?

Am I overthinking this?

I would think they could look you up. To be honest, it's been 20 years since I actually carried the card. I make them look me up and then walk around the store with a slip of receipt paper with my number... Yes, I'm bad.

I signed up the first day and had trouble getting in online. I called CS and they helped me. I think if you're going to be at a store, you'll probably give them your email or phone number and they'll recognize you. Then, you pay with a regular credit card. They were very nice.

Nobody asked me for my card until I was paying for my items. Just go with confidence. Worse comes to worse you tell them you have the card. They treat customers with a lot of respect at Nordstrom's, they would not give you a hard time for looking/trying. You do need the card or your account number to make your purchases during presale though. For non-NAS items you can pay with any card.

Yes, just tell any sales associate that you just ordered your card, and they can take you into the "tent" and then look up your account when you are ready to check out. I'm pretty sure you do need the Nordstrom card (or account number) in order for them to ring up the items at the sale prices; unlike with other transactions, they asked me to present my card first, before the ringing-up.

I just marched into the NAS areas and nobody said anything. I assume that when you got to check out and don't even have an account, you won't get the sale price. It's easy for them to look you up in the system though.

I went to the Houston Galleria store today and all of the tents were open and anyone could walk in and browse without an associate --not closed as in previous years. They should be able to look up your card number and you will be good to go!

They can look you up at the register. I actually didn't realize that the debit cards have been replaced (if I was sent one, I must have missed it) so I have an older Mod card that is no longer accepted. It wasn't a problem at all for the sales associate to look me up.
