How do I edit posts I already submitted?

I have done this before but when I went to fix some broken links earlier I couldn't see any option to edit my initial post.

Any ideas? Has this changed recently, or is there a time limit on when you can edit the initial post?

You've got it, Tara -- it is a time-limited feature. Not sure why that is, but I think you get about an hour (?) to fix any mistakes or add something.

I always think that's kind of a bummer...sometimes I forget a link...the times I have been reminded (usually by the first poster), I like to add it to the first post, with an ETA of thanks, instead, any subsequent thread reader has to read down several posts to see the item or issue I've linked to.

But, whatever...

There is a time limit, but it's at least 8 hours. Ask me how I know . . .

Since you asked, LOL ~ I just went back and edited "skirt waist" to "skirt waistBAND" in a reply to one of Sarah's threads. It was at the 8-hour mark. I always seem to be doing that!

One time Angie asked me to update the title of a thread I had started, but it was 14 hours after the initial post, and too late to edit.

So there you have it. You have at least 8 hours before that little edit line disappears, and maybe more ~ but less than 14!
