Relentlessly sunny? I've described our summers with those EXACT words. We're supposed to get over 100F this week. Yuck!
In summer I shower at night. It helps me get to sleep. In the morning I wash my face and start putting on sunscreen. I've started using these two. The one on the left for my face, and the other one I put on the back of my neck, chest, arms, legs, and hands, especially. My makeup used to have SPF, but at some point it stopped, and I didn't realize it. I've been very diligent since seeing that picture of the trucker who had such terrible sun damage. The other reason I shower at night is to wash off all the sunscreen before bed.
I bought several pairs of shorts and crops at Kohl's this spring. They're all Lee. They were fairly inexpensive and seem fine. I also like sleeveless tops. I bought a bunch of Eddie Bauer sleeveless boatneck tops. They were an Angie pick. They look kind of feminine and aren't lowcut. Add sandals or sneakers and a hat. If I'm going to be out for awhile, such as dog walking, I wear my Tilley hat, with a brim all the way around. That's my summer uniform.
When I went down to see my mother last week after her fall, in the morning it was foggy. GLORIOUSLY foggy!!!
