How About This Top? Reba Jeweled Ombre

I'm trying to find some new colorful or print summer tops. One I'm considering is this Reba top from Dillards. It's the "Jeweled-Neck Ombre" slub jersey cotton tee with a beading and jewels at the neckline. Do you think this might work for me? I think I look better in V-necks. I know it's kind of a "big" shirt but I'm 5' 10" and a size 16-18 so thought I might be able to wear it. Vote Yay if you think it has possibilities. Also interested in comments if you like/dislike it in general, not necessarily just for me.

Maybe! I like the neckline. I think it depends on how stiff the material is. Give it a try.

I like the neckline but the thing I don't like is the style of the arm holes.

The pictures have a bit of a funny color /lighting to them, but you do seem to have a very attractive top, I'm assuming in a teal color. It fits well and the jeweled neckline is not "too much" (sometimes there is overkill in embellishments, this is tastefully done).
I think you have a KEEPER here!!!

I should add that I'm taking all these summer shirt pics with my phone of the shirts online so the photos aren't the best. And I'm using the new YLF app to do it. Posting is sooooo much quicker this way.

I like the color, the shape and the neckline. Not so sure about the tabs on the roll up wide sleeves. All in all, a yay.

I vote nay because in my experience these kinds of embellishments tend to fall off, get lost in the wash, get cracked at the dry cleaner, etc.

I voted Nay because the sleeves will make you look like a football player. However if the sleeves can be un-buttoned so there's not such an extreme Y-shape, I would vote Yay as I like the color, neckline, and beading.

Do you have really narrow shoulders? If so, that's another reason to vote Yay for this top.

I vote nay, I'm not a big fan of embellished necklines, usually they mean handwashing and less layering (no added scarves or necklaces) due to the neck detail.

Oops. I clicked on yay but meant nay. I had a top with similar embellishment and never wore it. The different weights made the neckline awkward and difficult to wear.

It is a beautiful color though.

I'm not in love with this one. We are the same size and height and I know I would feel really frumpy in this.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't order this one (celia's old lady comment did it; I don't know why, but sometimes I have a tendency to pick matronly items even though I'm just 44).

Kappy, I did that same thing with a shirt from Macy's - when it got here I thought WHAT IN THE!??!? And I went back and looked at it online again and I realized what sold it was they had it on a very very young model. Well, jeez.
