Neither of them are all over houndstooth so I don't think they would be too much. I particularly like the first one. I vote try.

I like the sharp graphic quality of houndstooth, particularly dress # 1. I'd say try it! I think the scale of the houndstooth is too small in dress 2 , so it loses its edginess.

Love #1 - with the black side panneling bet it would look fantastic on. And with so much traditional H/T on display - nice to have something a little different with the blue/black pattern.
