Hotel in Manhatten - where to stay?

Are anyone familiar with ok hotels in Manhatten? Last year I stayed at La Quita Inn Manhatten (in Korea town) and it was ok. http://www.booking.com/hotel/u.....mAodRzy-zw

I'm wondering if I'd stay there once again or try some other place. La Quita was clean, very central and reasonable price.

Most important, prioritized list:
- clean + no bugs!!!
- central, metro nearby
- internet connection
(price doesn't matter that much, but I'm not looking for top notch luxury! :-))

Suggestions, anyone?

We just stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on W.45th street. The rooms aren't huge, but very clean, nice bathrooms, and there is a breakfast buffet included in the price. It's very central and there are some really good restaurants nearby for dinner

I just stayed in Hotel East Houston (near SoHo and East Village), very small rooms (good for one person), but newly revamped and modern amenities and reasonably priced. I loved it. I wrote about it in my blog. Check it out.

Thank you missvee and citygirldc! I check out the hotels and see if there are rooms available. We are at least 3 persons who all wants singe room with bathroom.

Both hotels you recommend were full, but I found another very nice looking hotel in TriBeCa, Duane Street Hotel: http://www.duanestreethotel.co...../index.cfm

So glad you found a hotel, it looks great.

Just for info, hubby and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Hotel Express and Suites in Nepean Friday night and I was not impressed.

We stayed in a King suite. The room looked like it hadn't been cleaned at all. Cookies on the floor, opened bathroom glass. The hot tub was broken and hubby said the pool area looked well used. Not impressed with the buffet breakfast either. It was cold and less appealing than a cafeteria or greasy spoon.

The staff were very friendly but we did not test them out. Seeing we were staying for only one night we did not want the hassle.

Ive stayed at The Travel Inn on West 42nd St. right in the heart of Midtown several times and it was great. Not fancy, but clean and about 1/2 price of others in the area....I SOOOO envy you!

i can't wait to start on my travel capsule, pack and leave the house!! but, i just learned that there is a minor risk that we are not going (due to work related business) *not happy with such insecurity!* i will stay optimistic anyway
