My cropped flares came in at my favorite boutique, and I picked them up today. I also picked up new shoes I had ordered by Trippen. I tried on the shoes and jeans at home with what I was wearing, and then switched to a cropped top to show the top of the jeans better.
I'm inclined to leave them at the length they are, because when I held them up shorter, I didn't like the look on my legs. So I hope they are cropped enough to be on trend and not just look like old-fashioned flood pants! (Which I'll admit the trend kind of resembles, anyway, in my mind.)
The outfits and loot:
1-3: dark cropped flares (Mother, Insider crop, in Faster wash); cropped boxy tissue weight sweater in gray and burgundy toned splatter print (made by me); pewter lace-up Mary Janes (Trippen, Foxy); black and brown studded belt (Suzi Roher); green recycled glass bracelet (Designs by Sonia).
4-6: dark cropped flares (as above); aqua boxy high-low pullover merino sweater (Eileen Fisher); cream scarf with shimmer edge (Suzi Roher); shoes and bracelet as above.
7-9: what I wore shopping: cream skinny jeans (Mother, the Looker high rise ankle skinny, in Whipping the Cream); top and scarf as above; taupe oxfords (Paul Green, Dale); taupe Spring coat with gathered waist, hood-collar and draw-cord hem (Ritva Falla); cream and taupe bag (Fossil).
Just had to share my excitement. Thanks for looking! And I'm open to styling ideas or other thoughts.
