HOPE for Turquoise in 2019

Finished working through hundreds of shows as prep work for the trends post. Phew! Hectic.

One word to describe future fashion: CHAOS

Two words to find your way: SIGNATURE STYLE

There is soooo much un-relatable and ugly stuff coming down the runway - much more than usual. I didn't bother documenting any of it. I did though, like I usually do, document looks that I think are important and more relatable. Here's the board:

I digressed from my point ....

My point is that I'm seeing bright sour turquoise coming down the runway. Not a lot, but it's there. It's been ten years! AT LAST. Another one of my favourite colours. Hope it filters through to retail this season. I will finally be able to add it to my wardrobe.

I share your hope. Love turquoise and would like to have more turquoise items, in particular spring and summer items.

At present, we're in the depth of winter, but I find that wearing clear bright turquoise scarves and shawls cheer me up. For the wardrobe I've chosen for a trip this weekend the key piece is a bright turquoise pashmina shawl with a tartan pattern in red, white and black, and all the other items I've brought are in these colours.

Hah, I have quite a bit of turquoise, but it's all gear! A gore-tex coat, a lightweight puffy, running shorts, synthetic t-shirts... Angie, your sour brights have been hiding out at the gear shops for the past decade, where people like myself (who prefer dark neutrals and earth tones) buy them grudgingly at deep discount!

I absolutely love turquoise and related tones. It’s so very hard to find right now I’m retail. When I find it, it’s not the shape or fabric that works for my life. I decreed bright blue as my color for 2019. Many turquoise shades will fall into that. Crossing fingers it moves off the runway into the stores. That 5th pic is what I want.

Yay! I've always loved turquoise and don't have much left. One mesh top, one old shirt, one dress, one pair jandals ( flip-flops) and some earrings.
Lots of great colours in your pins too. Yellow! Orange! I'm a happy camper.

Pretty! I hope you're able to find it in stores soon. It's honestly not a color I like to wear although I think it's beautiful on others. It's just like a lot of other blues that I have problems wearing - they clash with blue jeans, which I just can't seem to look at as a neutral.

Beautiful color. It reminds me of a gorgeous dress I had in the 90s that was several shades of turquoise. It reminded me of the ocean. I would love to have another gorgeous print like that again. Makes me long for that dress again

I am also a fan of turquoise and would be very excited to see more of it in retail. It works great with shades of purple for me and tomato for you, Angie.
I have also looked at runway photos/trend summaries for the upcoming spring season and concluded that there is much less than usual of trends that I like ( too much beige, warm colors, bohemian and generally unwearable items for my taste). Therefore I am planning to make this the season where I cut down even more on my shopping ( already done 50% cut this season). I will focus on a smaller number of a higher quality pieces (mainly at contemporary level), some of which are essentials and some modern classics that are authentic to my style. My only purchase so far is the L.K.Bennett dress below in lilac which is the perfect illustration of what i am trying to do.
