Like Suz, I am not seeing the Lisa dressed as millenial thing. You look like you (and you look fab) and there is nothing at all that seems like you stole it from your daughter and shouldn't have. My daughters (almost 13) steal from me all the time. So phooey on that. (I also like vintage words.)
Wow! Lisa I feel like you are really hitting your style stide. Hope that doesn't sound patronising. There is such an ease and authenticity to this outfit and to your most recent outfits. Now I want to wear my one and only black blazer like you.
You have hit perfection with this outfit! Everything fits perfectly, the colors blend seamlessly...and I love how the star details show up throughout. Absolutely fantastic work!
There is no way you should be changing your style, this is perfection! I love a red lip and have no intention of changing that as I get older. I did for a while experiment with a nude lip colour, but it really was not me. Your make up is always beautiful and this lip colour looks great. I am adoring the new bag, very chic indeed.
I love this whole look! I have been adding a few jackets to my wardrobe and struggling a little bit with how to make them look not-too-conservative, if you know what I mean. They remind me a bit too much of my old days at the CPA firm, with suits and panty hose which just isn't me any more. I am going to study this for hints.
You look great! Also, nothing like the millennials that I work with. They all want to wear jeans and flat sandals every day. It's a struggle to get them to understand that skinny jeans are not work appropriate except on casual days. Oh, and that leggings are not pants.
I love the star necklace and earrings with the t-shirt.
Okay, the star motif here? I love it. Also the lips and nails.
This doesn't read as "millennial" to me at all. Of course, I'm 31 and I don't wear slashed jeans, oversized aviators, leggings-as-pants, etc. I also don't live in a metro area anymore, and mostly I interact with people quite a bit older or quite a bit younger than myself, so my perceptions may be completely off.
It was the jacket's website that touted the company as being for millenials. I know this is not a millennial outfit Thanks every one for your positive comments - I think I may wear another version of this outfit today with a different top and pearls this time - ha!
Love love everything in your outfit! And wow your pics are so nice and organized, and your post was so great! Love the blazer, did you buy matching pants? It sounds divine! Thx for showing everything! You are so cute, how old are you? And may I ask what do you do for work? I'm retired now, so I just dress for miscellaneous stuff nowadays.
Hi Violettt - you're making me laugh ! The jacket was sold as is- no pants. And even if there were - they would not be coming home with me ....let's just leave it at that I am NOT a suit wearer. As for work, I am a manufacturers' sales agent/rep based in Canada, and I work primarily in home decor, small furniture, giftware and fashion/fashion accessories. I'm in my mid-50's - thank you for the compliment Retirement ? No such thing for me. My husband will likely retire in a few years and move to something part time, but I'll likely die selling something to someone .
