Thanks for the encouragement to make my own little Christmas tradition! Years ago, by which I mean the 90's, I wore lots of flowy black pants, jewel tone tunics and sweaters, and and black velvet flats with Christmas trees embroidered on them. Actually, it was more tasteful than it sounds, but I'm trying to raise the bar!

Rachylou: As Judy Garland sang....."Here we are, as in olden days, happy golden days of yore........"

LaBelle: I bought the cherry blossom top this summer, and I did wear it then, too. It's sleeveless, and loose to the body, so It's fairly cool by itself.

Okay, how on earth did I miss this? It's spectacular! I LOVE this capsule. And you know what? It's exactly what I need. This year, I don't know if I have a single Christmas party to go to. (Pathetic, I know). I do have other holiday events to attend (this is a whole other story) but most of them will be beyond casual.

The cherry blossom top and Munros with the white jeans outfit is just divine on you in both incarnations. I also really like the red jeans outfit -- you can donate them after the season if you like, but hurray for rescuing them from the bin for now! Every one of these is a winner, to my mind.

Now i need to think -- do I have anything similar? Well...I do have my white jeans and my cranberry Munros. I can wear these with my Amber Sun colour block sweater. But it's not very festive, so I'll need to add something to that. Hmmm. Off to muse...And thank you for the inspiration.

#6 looks VERY familiar, I adore the print on the blouse in #1. I also love the red black and white color scheme.
Now as far as creating holiday outfits for myself -- yep that's what I do. I like to have things ready to go especially since I expect my feelings to change. Sometimes I just like playing in my closet.

Beth Ann and this red color? They are match made in heaven for sure!
Love your casual holiday capsule, it suits you well. I cannot really see in the pictures: shine and sparkle are coming from what (aside from the jewellery)?
Satin of the cherry blouse?
I love the idea of a bit of the holiday cheer for every day but really have no idea what can I use from my wardrobe for this aside from my black sequin top...homework?

Now, Sveta, Day Vies and Suz -- that sounds like a great holiday gathering in the making!

Sveta: I bet that black sequined top would look great under a white blazer for work. Also, one of my holiday pieces is my red knife-pleated dress - you have a very similar piece. Nothing says holiday like a red dress!

Suz: I think animal prints can also read holiday, as can black.

Day Vies: You were the inspiration for my giganto-capsule. I think it may help keep me from tiring of my winter clothing quite so early this year.

A great mini capsule here. How fun that you add a little seasonal touch to dressing at this time of year. I'm sorry to see the red jeans go, they are lovely on you.
