I just got back from a week in London, and Lovely Husband and I did a fair amount of damage in the shops in Mayfair! He really wanted to buy me a pretty dress, and we hit the jackpot when we stumbled into Hobbs on Regent Street! They had SO MANY pretty dresses, many of them were on sale, the price was right, and best of all they fit me like a dream! We ended up buying the three below plus another one that I couldn't find on the web site but is a pretty champagne knit with short sleeves and a nice pattern i the knit. SO FUN! And best of all the prices were significantly less than what you see on the web site!
But the real shopping highlight of the trip was a trip to Burberry. (And may I just say you can't swing a cat in London without hitting a Burberry store!) I have admired this bag ever since I saw Natalie sporting it a while back, but I almost lost my nerve and left it on the shelf when I saw the price tag (which was, BTW, significantly less than the price in the US). I said "Oh, I'll just buy a card case for my business cards." But I couldn't find a card case I liked, and finally I whispered to LH "I really want that bag," and of course he was thrilled to buy it for me! We've named it "my precious!" LOL I had such fun carrying my giant Burberry shopping bag around all day (see photo -- the hat is from my other new favorite store, Fortnum & Mason!)! (And bonus shot of LH looking adorable in his trench coat and deerstalker!)
I've missed you all while I was gone and I'm looking forward to catching up! My Woman Cave is being installed in the next couple of weeks so I hope to be back to posting WIWs before too long!
