H&M black jacket keep or return?

I made an impromptu trip to H&M with a friend tonight, and I found this jacket. It doesn't look good closed, but I think it looks pretty good open. Keep, or return and keep looking?

You did find a black jacket to add to your collection of fab finds. I love the jacket it is a good fit. You will probably end up wearing this one allot. Do you like it?

Renee, I like it a lot. I'm not sure it's "the one"... but that may be because it seemed too easy to find tonight. I'm used to having to hunt, so when I find something good right away I worry that I'm settling without knowing what I'm missing.

It's a keepy keep keeper in my books. If you find a better one then you will feel safe in the knowledge that you *can* own 2 ascendingly awesome blazers.

I think it looks great, it accentuates your shoulders and waist very well!
What doesn't look good when it's closed? Are you okay with the fact that you can only wear it open? I would definitely keep it if so.

I would like to see the closed version. It looks good open, that's for sure. I wouldn't buy a jacket I can't button up, though, no matter how cool they look/are. To me it just doesn't make sense, I'd miss the warmth -I almost always button up my cardis and coats, even if it's not so cold outside, I just feel weird with them open, I guess, and also I get cold very easily. If you can live with that, though, just keep it. It does look good

The fit looks good. Shows your curves. Looks like a very versatile piece to me...now if only I could find one for me! Do you like it? Will it work for your lifestyle?

Personally, I wouldn't keep a jacket that I can't close. But if you love it open, that's your decision.

If you plan to only wear open, keep, if you plan to wear closed, was it too tight and that's why you didn't like it?

Closed it is too tight, and puckers underneath the button. I sized up a couple times to see if I could get rid of the puckering, but that didn't work. I think I'm fine with always wearing it open... I'm going to try it on with some of my other items (especially black ones) later today to see if it will work well with what I already have.

Kate, I thought that the jacket might be brown. But black is good too! Wear it with your earthy tones.

So I tried it on again, and I'm having second thoughts... It looks great unbuttoned from the front and the back, but I think it would look better from the side if I could button it. I took this picture last night, I should have posted it.

I think I'll be holding out for a jacket that I can button!
