H&M bf jeans - should I order? Which size?

Here are the H&M bf jeans I tried to find in the stores:

I already have a pair of dark wash bf jeans I bought last summer and I really like wearing them. I think I would like a lighter colored pair for summer, but I don't want to spend too much money on jeans. These here are a great price. H&M also has another pair in the collection that's still available everywhere, but those have a lot polyester in the fabric and are just not as nice as these here, they are 99% cotton.

I've never ordered online at H&M before, shipping would be 4,90€. I'm not sure which size(s) I should try. They had only a 32/32 left in the one store where I saw them and these were way too big on me, even for bf jeans. The measurements on the website place me at size M for the hips, which would be 29'', 30'' and 31'' in the jeans. I'm not sure how much difference there is between sizes, if the 31'' would be a lot smaller than the 32'' I tried. I thought I'd try the 30'' and maybe one size down or up. What do you think?

Should I try them? Or do you think I should wait until there are some similar ones available in a B&M somewhere?

Since the shipping is flat rate, just order as many sizes as you want. You can ship with an enclosed bill to pay and only pay for the one you want to keep, so you won't be low on cash. You can return the other ones to a store and not pay return shipping. The 4.90 will save you lots of time combing the stores for what you want.

Ditto on the outfit you have on. I buy a bit online but I just think jeans are too much of a gamble for me. I would never buy a pair from a B&M store, without trying them on and usually try on lots before buying... No blind faith for on-line jean shopping.

I have purchased clothing on-line before, always from Amazon.com, and always when returns are free or won't cost much. I just purchased two pairs of Levi's jeans, same price (in fact a few dollars cheaper) than in the stores. One fit perfectly, the other is being returned.

I don't know what the currency you posted is in American, but if returns only cost a little per order flat rate, I would buy several pairs in different sizes, try them on, post some pics, and we'll all help you decide which to keep!

If it helps, I am also a size M, from your pic I think we look similar figure-wise, and I have a pair of size 29 True Religions (bought at an outlet, I don't want to spend a lot for jeans either), and they are only sightly baggy. For BFs, I would size up to a 30, possibly even a 31, depending on level of bagginess desired.

Thanks Allison! I normally wouldn't buy jeans online either, I have a hard time finding ones that fit right. But I think it's easier with bf jeans, they are easier to fit because they don't need to be cut just right like close fitting jeans. And I've seen these in the store and liked the fabric and color.

Thanks Karie! That are Euros, but it's not that much. And from what Scarlet says returns would be free when I just take them back in a store. They don't have another pair I want to order, but I think I'm going to try the 29'', 30'' and 31'' with these.

That's a good idea to order a bunch of them. H&M runs so small, but it sounds like you have a handle on your size in them. Love you in that scarf! Good luck on your hunt!

Thanks Claire! You're right that they run small. I did order the 29,30 and 31 just now. The 32 was the one I tried that was too big, I hope one of the ones I've ordered works out. I'm going to post some pictures when they arrive. And I found a coupon to use so I got 5€ off - so if one of them works out I'm paying just as much as I would have in the store.
