This is actually the first time I have participated in the Anniversary sale. Usually, everything I might want was sold out, but due to the year of Covid at-home shopping, I made the July 14 order date! Not everything is here yet, as I have ordered 3 different times...
Some Hits and Misses:
1) Ted Baker Polo for DH. He had me order 4 of these. That is how men do it. Same item, 4-6 of them. No variety. lol. Fits and looks great on him. The contrast stitching makes it a little more metro than golf, which is more like him too.
2)Lana Slide by Chinese Laundry. I ordered these in Black, in 2 sizes just in case, but they would not stay on my feet regardless. I think the band part needed to be higher up not to slip. Going back.
3) Too Good Sweater by Free People. I ordered this in Orange and White. Same size, but the orange was one to 2 sizes bigger! Quality control. I love that color too. Keeping the white.
4) Puff sleeve sweater, Halogen. Ordered in Burgundy XL for my mom, who is a size 16. Wow- talk about oversized! It was huge, more like a 2X( I know, because both daughters are that size.) I really didn't expect it to be so square either, as the photo show a slim, tapered fit. Return
5) Long Cardigan, Nordstrom. I wanted to like this, as it would be an entirely new direction for me, but it was super long, boring, and I felt like a religious widow in it. Definite return.
6) Frame Puff Sleeve Sweatshirt. Not sure, on the fence. The puff sleeves are quite large, and the body is very fitted in the small, whereas the medium is good in the body, but ridiculous in the puff sleeve. Pondering the small.
7) Lowell metallic silk blouse by Veronica Beard. Keep! I've been stalking this for months, and at this price, and the fit, I'm loving it! Only for winter here in Florida..
8) CeCe mixed media top. Another Keep. Not crazy about the fabric, but the color and fit are really good, and this is year round for me here in Florida!
