BC, if you want to get really technical, a hip dip is anatomically known as the "trochanteric depression."
When a hip dip indicates underdeveloped gluteus medius, it's worth considering exercises to strengthen those muscles. (Not for optical reasons!) The gluteus medius is integral to hip function, controls pelvic sway, is involved with leg movements like moving leg out to side, and aids in stabilizing the femoral head in the hip socket.

Strengthening relevant muscles is NOT guaranteed to reduce hip dips visually! That depends largely on skeletal anatomy.
I don't see any reason to make clothing choices to minimize a perfectly lovely body feature.
