Hinge or Halogen Chanel-esque jacket?

Ok so I'm eagerly awaiting restocks but I still haven't decided whether to get the Hinge or the Halogen Chanel-esque jacket if they come back in in my size.

I'm personally stalking the Hinge jacket and will order it from the UK if it comes back in stock. I think the Halogen jacket would be more practical for my climate though. I also think of the Halogen jacket looking more refined and the Hinge jacket more edgy.

Do you prefer a jacket that's more funky, or more classic? I agree with Julie, that's the difference. I have seen the Hinge jacket in red and it is stunning. The Halogen jacket's fabric is smoother, while the Hinge jacket is very textured and tweedy.

I tried both jackets and Hinge won me hands down! It just has that little edge which makes it unique. Halogen is more classic and longer. I think it depends what effect you are trying to ahieve.

BTW this skirt is the one on your list - I love it and it fits really well. Just make sure you size down on it - it runs big. I am usually size 10 and this one is size 8.

Thanks for your help Julie, Laura, Sveta. Ok I'm now officially in love ... with the Hinge jacket thanks to Sveta's pics!! I think the shorter length would work better for me. Now fingers crossed it gets restocked. Thanks also Sveta for the fit details on the Halogen skirt.

An, I tried on all the Hinge and Halogen jackets. As has been said, the Halogen is more classic and can be worn for dress or with jeans. No photos do it justice.
The Hinge jacket definitely has a casual vibe with the fringy trim. Again, each color was special and photos don't show the detail that well. I came home with the red one. I'm planning to wear it with jeans or to make a LBD more casual looking than dressy. I'd get them all if it wasn't overkill and may try for a grey or black in either jacket.
