Just back from a three day 50km mountainous hike in the South Island. Sharing a few photos of the scenery - it was true alpine walking. Photos are out of sequence but you get the idea.
You will see one of our native alpine parrots - the kea. This one tried to steal my gloves…. Luckily foiled. They are very very cheeky!
