I was just thinking of posting a question about this! I'd like to try some skinny jeans but I don't like a super low waistband.

This is a silly question, but: when it says the jeans have a 10" rise, what does that mean?

Medusa, the rise is the length from the crotch of the jeans to the waistband. Most people here seem to like a rise of 8-9 inches.

I was loving my Mia skinnies - the rise is perfect - until I crawled around on the floor with my 3-year-old and all of the blue dye rubbed off the knees. Can you believe it??

I can believe it Laura. I have 2 pairs of Mias: one in a 2 and one in a 4. I wore the 2's for a while but they just felt too small, so now I wear the 4's exclusively. They have gotten a lot more wear and a lot more washes than the 2's and the wash is so much lighter now when I compare the two. I am not happy at all with the Mias. I'm surprised that so many curvier ladies here had success with them because I find them too straight for me.
