I tried a similar one on in Cleo's yesterday and really liked it. But I had just spent a whole bunch of money on my boots and other necessities, so the idea of spending more money, especially without thinking it through properly, rather scared me, so I walked away. Probably the right thing to do.

I could easily justify an transition season jacket though, especially one that cuts the wind.

How well does pleather breathe though? If it makes me feel all damp underneath it, wouldn't I get chilled more easily? What's your experience?

My experience with pleather hasn't been good, but the Cleo rep told me that "no sale is final" and there's "no time limit to bring it back", so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm going to wear it around the house for a few days and see how it makes me feel. I'm hoping it will be fine for Sept/Oct (mayyyybe Nov.) and possibly April/May in the spring. After that anything will be too hot or too cold anyway, no matter how much it "breathes'.

I'm hearing that pleather has come a long way, but so have I now and entering menopause adds a whole new dimension to being "hot"...LOL

ETA: The jacket is going back. I wore it today and when I was outside in the cold I was fine, but as soon as I was indoors, or in the car, the pleather at the collar was making my neck sweat. I could wear a scarf but I think I'll just wait and hold out for my perfect 10. This color, this style, but leather...

I saw that jacket in the window and went back to look again. Then I went to Danier and saw a fabulous red leather jacket and forgot about this one. Then I remembered that I offered to take a friend who is unwell to Mexico for her birthday and stopped shopping.
