Months ago Angie advised that I should invest in adding more jeans to my closet, since they are such an integral part of my wardrobe. I have owned 4 pair, of which 2 are identical/duplicates. For 2 years + I’ve been looking for a pair of perfect-for-me wide leg jeans. Though I’ve tried on about a dozen, I hadn’t yet landed on a perfect pair. The biggest problem - an insufficient inseam. (Most stop at 32. I need a 34.)

Whilst I was finishing up in the change room of the local pool, the high school swim team girls arrived. They were buzzing about an H&M drop at a local store that specializes in liquidations (a Canadian store called Hart). I decided to swing by and see what the fuss was about - and scored my HEWI jeans. Non-stretchy jeans, but with a neat elastic back. They were styled with a deep cuff, but it wasn’t sewn down. Unrolled, the hem (frayed) is 34 inches, and sweeps the ground. There is a break at the front, but they don’t puddle. I suspect they will shrink a smidge when I wash them, but I hang my jeans to dry - so shouldn’t loose too much length.

The kicker - they were $15CAD, just under $18 after taxes!

They were one-of on the rack, and the brand is one I’m unfamiliar with (see pic #1). Furthermore the tags are worded weirdly, so I wonder if they were made for an Asian market?

This is not likely repeatable, however it is a lesson in leaving no stone unturned in the quest for a fashionable but budget friendly wardrobe.

#2+3 quick pics at home, not styled. I plan to wear them both rolled and unrolled.
