Here's Something For Those Needing Boots to Fit Smaller Calves

I found this little video on Youtube about altering boots to make the shafts a smaller diameter. It could also be used for those who want to fit a slightly too tall boot that fits well everywhere except the very top.

Thanks for a great video! It doesn't look too hard. Have you had any luck with getting a cobbler to do an alteration like this?

I recently found a shoe/boot guy to modfiy a pair of boots to fit closer at the calf but he refused to cut down another pair that comes up too high on my leg. Maybe I'll look for someone else to get a second opinion.

Very fab! Most things I'd read said that cobblers can only take in a pair of boots if they have a full zipper closure. This proves them completely wrong, I'd say!

Oh, this is great, thanks! I'm planning to have the Nordstrom cobbler take in the shaft of some tall boots and I'm really nervous they might get ruined. Nice to have some comfort that this is a do-able alteration.
