I feel like I am getting ready to jump off the high dive! I have been enjoying this forum for months, but I have finally decided to jump into the fun. I am wondering about the length of these capris I bought last year at JCrew. Also, would you say I am a pear? I thought I was an hourglass, but I look "peary" in this outfit. Thanks, girls!

Congrats on jumping on the picture bandwagon, Susan! It's a little hard to see your shape and the length of the capris since the photo is blurry... do you have another we could look at?

Hm, I would guess that you are similar to me - hourglass with just a hint of pear.

Welcome, Susan! I agree with the previous statements...hourglass tending toward pear. As far as the length of the capris, I do think they are a bit long since they are not fitted. I think they might work better hemmed to walk shorts length. A longer length needs to be rather fitted, it seems to me.

Love the outfit! It looks like the capris are hitting at a wide place on your leg and might be better shortened a bit to where the calf gets smaller just at the lower knee, although you have great legs and slim ankles to wear any length.

I agree with Joy....shorten the capris so they are more clam digger length. Also you'd look great in walking shorts....do you like your knee caps? I'd like to see a little bit, if not all of your knee cap. Just keep the shorts just above or at the knee. Don't go any shorter.

Thanks for the kind comments. I will try them a shorter length. I have some walking shorts that I enjoy wearing, so maybe this will be another pair!

Thank you Susan. The ladies are spot on. You’re an hourglass who tends towards a pretty pear (slightly). The shorts would look better shortened a good few inches. Sort of around the knee. A very sweet little casual outfit! Like the neckline of that top. Hope that helps.
