Has anyone ever tried those hemming tapes they have at fabric stores? Basically you just fold the garment to the right length, put the tape on, and iron it for a permanent bond. I think I'd still prefer sewing where possible, but for something like a sweater dress, which I can never seem to find in the right length, I thought this might work.
