I bought some dark denim capris with the intention of tailoring them to the clamdigger length and I wondered if there are any instructions I need to give the tailor?

Hem to just under knee?

I am an hour glass with long legs and 5'6.5.

I am trying to avoid the look that these pants were hemmed at home and look unprofessionally done. I do not know if our small town tailor knows how to do it right.
