Help with shoes for fussy feet

I am wondering if any of you with extremely fussy wide feet have any suggestions about brands. I can wear Munro,Birkenstock & some Fidjis (however other than Amazon brand is very difficult to find) in the midwest. These brands seem to be the only ones that offer arch support and come in wide while also having some "style"..well Birkenstocks do not have super style but they are acceptable given my limited options. I have tried Clarks, just returned 3 pairs of La Canadiene boots to Amazon because they were not wide enough and also hurt my poor plantar fascilitis heels. I also tried Vionic but so far not wide enough.

Is there a brand that I am not aware of? Help please. I need work shoes and Munro does not have a lot of shoes to wear with dresses...I do have their pumps, sandals in the summer and several pairs of Munro booties.

I have fussy feet that are wide and have bunions. I wear Dansko, Alegría (wide), Clarks & Earth (wide, D). I have to add insoles to the Clarks & Earths. The Danskos and Alegrías have arch support built in.

If you need something wider than a D width, I don't know what to suggest.

I have very wide toes/forefeet, though narrow ankles, and I need substantial arch support. I wear Born (marked medium width, but run wide), Gabor (ditto), and Naot (most styles are too narrow, but a few run wide).

I buy all my shoes online from Amazon (Prime) or Zappos.

The ones mentioned so far are great. Naturalizer has some cute work options in a wide, and I like Timberland for boots. Depending on how wide you need, Steve Madden in regular width tends to run wide.

Trotters, when you can find them, also come in wide widths.

Naturalizer wide is a C width, not D, and not as wide as Clarks. Same goes for Trotters. I forgot to mention Cobb Hill, though the arch support isn't as good as Dansko or Alegría.

I also like Born, Allegria, and some Dansko. I cannot wear Clarks for some reason. Feet are very tricky so you may have to order and return

Barking Dog doesn't give much information for wide feet, unfortunately.

I like the reviews on barkingdogshoes.com. Munro has different lasts, so if you find a shoe that works for you it enables you to identify other styles made with the same last. Sadly, Munro has never been my ideal shoe. I doubt that everything in a single brand will work for one individual's fussy feet. My feet are so fussy that some Dansko Pros work for me and others don't, even in the same color. FWIW, I have wide forefeet with bunions but narrow heels and extremely low volume at the same time. Wide shoes with heel cups and laces seem to work the best for me but aren't necessarily what I want to wear!

For me, the reviews are practically useless because she hardly ever mentions shoes that come in wide widths.

I wear Dansko boots and sandals, but not the clogs. For clogs, I wear Alegría. I have high insteps and laceup shoes usually make the tops of my feet hurt.

I wonder why so few shoes are made in wide? I try to buy mainly at Nordstroms because of their wonderful return policy (I never know if even Munros will work for my awful feet.0However, they have very few comfort shoes in the stores, almost all have to be ordered so my cycle seems to be buy, return, buy, return. I would love to be able to go into a store, find comfortable and stylish shoes in a 9 W ......have increased my price point because if I see shoes that are i.e. under $150.00 I just assume there will be little-no arch support. If I missing something here please correct me...feel like its adding insult to injury to have to pay so much for shoes I do not even really like but I have to have shoes for work and I like dresses and skirts more than pants.

$150 is the least I have to pay, unless I get lucky & get a sale price, for good shoes or boots. I order from Zappos most of the time.

I just bought my first pair of Vionics (suede loafers) and I don't want to take them off. I have a friend who also wears a wide shoe and she has gotten a few pairs at Payless, which I'd never consider normally, but her shoes look just fine (pumps) so if I came across a Payless I'd at least walk in. I bought a pair of Mary Janes at Duluth Trading Company last month, and they have great arch support and accommodate my broken big toe, but I know you aren't looking for casual shoes. Clarks are too still for me, Dansko is still a possibility, I have great luck with Keen and Merrill but none of them are really work shoes. Good luck.

I prefer Danskos because they keep my big toe from bending. That prevents pain. The arch support is perfect, as is the width and instep. Choice of shoes comes down to what works for your feet.

I don't have terribly wide feet, but I was recently looking for what I called my on-my-feet-14-hour "tradeshow" shoes. LOL!

I have wide forefeet (bunions) and wear fit flops and Born (plus a smattering of ransoms that just happened to fit). My feet are too wide for standard Birkenstocks
I don't understand the "hard to find" part of your question--Zappos has free shipping and returns, plus you can narrow your search to shoes to those that are just your size (including width), which is helpful for me (and, for boots, you can narrow by shaft height and circumference).

I have a wider foot box and bunions. My feet are super fussy and there are only a few brands that I am comfortable in. Stuart Weitzman (I have heels that are fairly high and I can wear them to events all night with no issues -- amazing). Vince. Via Spiga. Those are my go to's for dressier shoes.

If you are near a B&M Nordstrom, probably you can have a stylist order the shoes you want to try without having to pay for them first, and they will be sent to the stylist. When they all arrive you can go in and try them on, and only pay for the ones you want. That's how it works for clothing and other items. I haven't tried it with shoes yet.
