Help with raincoat

I am in need of a new raincoat. I was thinking I would go with a navy blue one as beige really isn't my color. My issue is that sometimes I feel like the typical double-breasted trench might not be good on someone 5'3"? Any tips for selecting a raincoat that won't be overpowering? I'm around a size 6P so not super tiny but I still don't always like the double-breasted look on me.

I tried the Uniqlo trench - I thought it would be great for someone but on me it just seemed like too much fabric. I'm 5' 4" and it was below the knee on me (just below, but still).

I am looking for one, too! I also live in a place with few shopping options so that does not help. Ylf-er golden pig just posted this one in a WIW and I am tempted to try it especially since it's on sale...and it looked super cute on her!

I'm also looking for one but am after a super classical trench. I do like the first one you posted but it sounds like it is a bit too long. What about one from London Fog? I think some members have had good success with that brand. I do like the one Maia posted.

I used to have a London Fog one that I really liked that only went to Goodwill as I lost weight. This one is London Fog and navy polka dots so I like that it's a little different:

I have another waterproof one, not quite as dressy as the one you posted but I always feel like it's a little too casual for work.

I don't particularly like double breasted coats as they don't look quite right to my eye when they're just hanging open.

I do, however, want Angies citron rain coat !!

The second and third coats you posted look more like a mac than a trench, but maybe that will be cute on a petite body? I like the trench, because belting it gives you shape you can't really get with the mac style. I think the double breasted closure looks cool and hip when left open.

I do like the Mac style on me usually as long as it doesn't flare out too much.

I've ordered this one. I tried on a 6P in the store but it must run a bit big so I've ordered the 4P. I will post a pic of me in it once it arrives to see what everyone thinks.

I found a london fog trench for a super price at costco earlier this year, not sure if that meets your needs but it may be worth a look.
