Tunics to go with these studded OTKs

I love these boots (photo 1) but I do sometimes feel confused how to incorporate the studs into an outfit. I was thinking to buy a tunic to wear with these and black pontes.

This one I tried on, and the lilac color was surprisingly great. I am concerned that the lacy knit would be too much with studded boots, and what kind of a layer would I wear underneath I am wearing black bottoms?

I think the studs are fairly subtle so I could see any of these tunics working and looking fab! I think jeggings/leans would be great if you want to avoid the all black look. I like number 4 and the feminine print would be a great contrast with the boots. I don't like that belt on number 2 - it reminds me of a garter belt Is it removeable?

For the lacey knit, I would wear black underneath, this way the black underlayer and the black bottoms create a backdrop for the lace as the main focus.

I like the stud boots, they don't look over the top with studs and I think they would work with all the tunics you picked out.

I think tunic #2, with the belt may be hard to wear, it looks like it would hit at most people's widest part. Are you ok with that belt placement?

I went out today to get my hair cut (which my hairdresser made fascinatingly curly). I tried some things on in the store while I was out. The colors in the photos are very off, but I liked everything. However, I must prioritize.

Photos 1 - 3 are a dress. I am just trying it on over jeans but would not wear it this way. I would wear it as a dress or over pontes/leans. The back shot is to show off my curly hair. Still puzzled by it.

Photo 4 is a Dolman-esque t-shirt. The color in real life was complex and wonderful, not dull like it looks here. Probably needs to be appreciated in person.

Photo 5 is that lace knit tunic linked to above. The purple one is hanging next to me. I couldn't find the patterned blouse to try on.

How many can you buy? I like all of these on you, and love your curly/wavy hair :)! (we are sort of hair twins with your hair like that, only mine is actually bigger and curlier, if you can imagine such a sight) The dress is really cute; love the shape, the scoop neck, and the detailing on it. The color isn't the first color I'd choose, but pop one of your fab scarves on (e.g., your Missoni friend) and it would be fab. The pink top is very ethereal and fab--the color is pretty and the cut is really nice. I also like the third one--again, cut is really nice on you and black seems versatile.

Which ones are singing to you? Which ones fill a hole in your wardrobe?

Edited to add: I forgot to mention that I love the boots, and I would wear them with just about anything! Go for it!

Jonesy, so excited that we are hair twins! I don't know if I can keep this up because I can't keep my fingers out of my hair. The color of the dress is a little better in real life, and I do have a couple of scarves that would go nicely with it. I really feel I would get a lot of wear out of everything, but I can only buy one or two things for now.

I like the pink one best. It makes you look all rosey and pretty.

Gee, and here I though Angie the knife would slice through my choices for me and make it easy to save up for the evening bag and various accoutrements I will require.

Maya, actually I have to say this haircut made me think of yours. This is basically mousse generously glopped in and air-dried.

Mine does't take well to just one product. I have to use a cocktail of mousse (just at the roots), styling cream, curl cream, and a spritz of holding spray when it's dry. I can see why it reminded you of me, because my cut and texture is very, very similar!

If you told me as little as 4 months ago that putting this much product in my hair would result in anything good, I would have scoffed at you and gone back to my blowdryer and straightening iron...

Thanks for the info, Maya. What do you do on the second day? or do you wash every day?

I wash every day but with only a little bit of sulfate free shampoo and lots of conditioner, so it's not really as harsh as it sounds. My hair looks flat and sad after I have slept in it. If I just let it get wet but don't wash out the product, it looks dirty. I'm going to ask my stylist what I'm doing wrong because she said I shouldn't wash every day, but I haven't figured out how to avoid it.

I WISH I could shop at Mex if this is an indication of all of the beautiful things they carry.
The boots are fantastic and I would wear them with anything. Just forget they have studs on them. The studs don't have to mean biker or street punk anymore. I'd make sure they fit the calf, either with jeans tucked in, or bare legged, or both, make sure the height is balanced for the outfit, and dress accordingly.

San, you are the sweetest, thanks. Given all the advice that these boots are subtle enough to go with most things, I think I am going to take you all at your word and not over-think it so much. However I still need to do some shopping, naturally.
