Help with pants!

Are these pants good or do they need to be shortened? They feel long but pictures seem to indicate that they are actually ppl.

Yay: PPL/ leave them alone

Nay: shorten by 1/2"

I usually go by whether they are actually touching the floor or just a bit above. I don't want my pants dragging on the ground and getting frayed. I can't tell from the pic if they are touching or just close but that is how I would decide.

They look really nice on you and I like the striped tank.

I can't tell either depends on +/-2 lbs, I guess. I'm leaning towards leaving them alone for now....

Hard to tell precisely, but I'd err on the side of leaving them alone.

I think my tailor takes off just a little more than I ask her to. Grrrr.

Janet these are the rack pants we got together. I am torn. I'll wear them to work next week and see how the hem fares.

Not my strong suit (PPL), but they look good with the heels here. I've only just brought in my first ever pants to hem so I have very little experience. I like your idea of a work test run.

They look right to me, but it is really hard to tell if they are touching the floor or just above. I think 1/2" off would be too much

Yay, PPL. If you are stepping on the back, maybe just have the back of the hem raised a fraction of an inch. A half inch sounds like too much unless the pants stretch out during the day.

I'm new here -- what does PPL mean? The length looks good -- if you wear them out and feel like you're tripping over the hems, then you can shorten them. But I agree with Janet -- my tailor always seem to make my pants just a little too short. It's safer to keep them as is, especially if you're talking about a tiny amount.

I'm not sure. They look good in #3 and #2, but a super tiny bit long in #1. I see you are not sure if they are touching the floor. That's how I know. Basically, I don't want to see any heel at all from the back.
I think it is splitting hairs at this point. I vote leave as is.

They definitely aren't touching. Do they have belt loops so you can wear a belt if you are -2 lb.?

I think they look just a titch long, but I tend to err on the short side of PPL.

Hi Meghan and welcome!! PPL is perfect pant length. Basically for wide leg pants the back hem should be almost grazing the floor. I like these pants as is but it basically means I am confined to wearing them with 4" heels only. I do look nice and tall though!!
