I could use some help on how to dress for my daughters wedding on October 7th which is outdoors at the Metal Museum in Memphis, TN. She has said the attire is outdoor cocktail, but has been very vague about her color preferences. I’ve asked multiple times, and she is so easy going about it I feel rudderless. I don’t want to clash or match with my other daughter who is a maid of honor; I’d like to be harmonious for the photos. I don’t ever wear orange.

The first photo is the color palette she’s going with for the reception, and her sister is considering this sunset colors ombré dress which seems very bright. The brides dress is a very simple white satin slip dress with a low back. I don’t want to wear a frumpy mother of the bride dress and the only one I’ve found so far is this dark teal dress with autumnal colors embroidery from rent the runway. Any advice welcome.

EDITED to add: just talked with my other daughter and she too is worried her coral and pink dress dress is too bright given the muted smoky colors in the reception palette. She is going to look for something else.
