Help with Miz Mooz sandal colour

Una (alaskagirl) turned me on to these sandals. She owns them in citron and they look fab. I can't do that colour and already have black sandals so I'm considering the grey or blush.

I wear both colours and I have light hair. I love wearing light coloured footwear. Which colour do you think would work better? I'm currently wearing a pair of nude gladiator style cheap sandals I bought last year and thought these Miz Mooz might provide a comfy, better quality replacement.

Below are some of the summer bottoms I might wear with these sandals.

Do you think the grey or blush read as edgy as Una's citron ones? Edgy at all? Or is it totally lost in these two colours? Thanks!

I'd be tempted to go with blush, just because they are a bit more unusual. And I think it's fun to have coloured footwear in summer. And to answer your edgy question... no, I don't think these colours will read as edgy as Una's, just because they are softer and more subdued. But that isn't a bad thing... if they are more in your color palette, they will look better on you!

I'd love to try those shoes as well, in the citron and/or red. But Zappo's doesn't ship to Canada, and I can't find anywhere here that sells that style, to know if they'd even work for me :(. And Amazon doesn't have those colours

Hmmm. Tough decision! Are those the only bottoms you'd be using? And what about tops? I don't think you could go wrong with either. For myself I would probably choose the grey because I find grey footwear difficult to find (in styles I like, anyway) and it is lovely with white.

These won't look edgy because they are a soft neutral. But they will look stylish and fresh.

I really don't think you can go wrong with either. I have some grey sandals that I wear all.the.time, and I have some nude gladiators that I also wear (the other) all.the.time You might prefer one colour over the other if you saw in person - can you try both? If I didn't already have comfy sandals, I'd be all over these as well. I love the comfort of miz mooz.

Oh my gosh, those are lovely in those colors. Citron doesn't work for me either, and so I hadn't considerd those at all until now. Uh oh...

Anyway, I think the style is still current and interesting, although obviously the vibe will be different without the bright color. I love blush, but I have a hard time getting the right shade - some are too peachy and some are too close to my skin tone. That makes me think that if you have similar problems, the gray would be a good option that's more likely to work. But the blush is arguably a more current shade...

For what it's worth, I'm also considering those two colors, and normally I only ever wear edgy black shoes. I have the same questions as you. I'm going to think through what outfits I might wear them with, to see if either color is a good idea for me.

Elizabeth P - you're right about the colours not being as edgy. I haven't decided if this is a deal-breaker yet. Too bad you can't find the citron or red at a retailer that ships to Canada. Although I'm in Toronto with lots of retail, I can still get frustrated by lack of choice in footwear!

Suz, probably not the only bottoms (those are the newest which is why I can do a find but TBH I like wearing my new stuff more As for tops, it's mostly tees of some kind in the height of the summer - white, blue, blush, grey mainly. I like stylish and fresh but I think I'm starting to ask my summer footwear to be even more edgy because the rest of the look is so simple.

Jackie, why do you find you reach so often for the grey pair? I think our hair colour is similar. I've never owned Miz Mooz. Where do you buy them in Vancouver?

Laura, sorry to tempt You're right, blush is a tough one. I find much of the blush this season too peachy. I agree blush is trendy and it's fun to have colourful summer footwear like Elizabeth says.

Greyscale, have you decided anything yet? Are black and citron the only edgy colours? Can other colours be edgy and if so, what makes them so? I really want to figure this out!

Crutcher, maybe I should just go for citron. It's on my feet after all. I would never wear that colour near my face but I like it. Can I wear a colour in footwear that doesn't "match" anything else I'm wearing - a stand alone?

I like both colors quite a bit. I guess I would say if you wear more cool colors in the summer I would get blush, and more warm colors I would get grey.

But! I think citron would be lovely and can't imagine how it could be a problem worn on your feet. I don't think it needs to match anything either.

My vote would be for the blush, but I wouldn't consider either shade edgy. I also think that citron would look fabulous with all the pants you've shown; the color is on your feet, totally doable

Una, I love your blush shoes too. And to think I was eyeballing them in yellow! But they sold out before I pulled the trigger.

Aida, you're making me think more about the citron. That would be a real stretch for me but I do love yellow footwear.

Jessica, your colour analysis is interesting. I definitely wear cooler colours. The blush was my first instinct.
