Help with looser pants!

I'm still unsure on how to wear my boyfriend jeans and my looser cargos..
I've tried with flats and feel frumpy, the way I feel better is with heels and with a bold acessory on top, a silk blouse seems to work (I feel I have to bring more feminine pieces to the outfit).

Is it ok?

More than ok, you look fantastic in both outfits and I (still) love you in short hair. The way you draped the top over the trousers looks perfect to me, and I love the color of the blouse you are wearing with the jeans. Beautiful Rute!

I understand the feeling, Rute. I also feel like I need a bit of a heel with bf jeans, even though my legs are long.

Rute, somehow I missed your short hair post! You look amazing in the shorter cut! So pretty and feminine.

I love these BFs on you and if you want to wear with a heel, go right ahead because it works on you.

If a heel is too much, maybe a wedge for greater comfort but still the height?

I had to pick myself up off the floor after seeing the fabulousness that is you in these outfits. I found myself half-dazed, muttering, "Help?!? She should teach a master class." Rute, I have been puzzling over this look myself, but you make sense out of a world gone mad. I LOVE these outfits on you, and by the look of your grin, you love them too.

Just some highlights: your tops are eye-catching and they balance the bottoms nicely with their mild blousy-ness. I also like the platform heels with the rolled cuffs, it looks sporty and dressy at the same time. I am saving these for my own inspiration.

You have have made such a beautiful style evolution --- your casual style is so effortless, but still high impact. I think it's the length of the bf's, not the looseness, that makes them thrive with heels. Love the nude heels, BTW. And I really want that necklace --- such a stunner!

Both of these look fabulous Rute! I also like to wear my looser pants with heels, it feels better to me too. If I'm wearing flats then I usually go for very boho blousey on top and roll the hems up even higher so more of my calf is showing. How interesting to hear that this look isn't on the streets there. You gorgeous trend setter, you!

I think your instincts are spot on, Rute to add more feminine and dressy tops to slouchy pants. Try to add blazer as well - its added structure does wonders to the slouchy bottoms. And definitely heels are fool-proof with this style.

This looks great! I know the looser fit can feel unfab but I love the accessories and fit -- especially the color combo in #2. I say play with it more -- I find I love this look with heels and a slimmer fit on the top (exactly what you've done here).
