Help with boots

Hi all. I’m looking for input on these boots. I have a very casual lifestyle. Looking to add non black boots. I mostly wear jeans or a cigarette pant with blouse or a sweater. The Clarks in pic 1 are suede but a bit more refined? The other is leather from Rockport. Both comfortable out of the box. Both are a stone colour. All suggestions welcomed.

I'd pick the first pair from Clarks. The Rockports are a look that has been around for so long now, and that style in so many different lines. Clarks look more up-to-date and interesting - and easy to dress up or down.

I'm partial to the non-combat boot too. It looks easier to wear and more refined. Color looks versatile too!

I'm in minority - I'm attracted to combat boots/90s style - I see them as slimmer in shape ( Clarks boots bring back a hint of pirate for me - probably because my ankles are too thin to make it look right ). It needs a fit session to see you in both of boots for a fuller picture.
Nice neutral colors.

I would pick the second pair, too, but it's important to try them with the pants you plan to wear to see if they work well together.

Second pair get my vote! Slimmer profile, and I like the toe bit.

Ideally, I need to see them with your jeans - especially if you wear skinny jeans because skinnies and booties are a tricky match.

What Angie said. You really need to try them on with your jeans you expect to wear with them. Especially since they look like they’re two different heights. One may work better than the other. I suggest a try on session with all your jeans and pants. Takes time but will definitely help you make a decision. Good luck.

Thanks for your help and wisdom ladies. Such excellent advice to try them on with my pants and pay special attention to the ankle fit. I have now tried them and they are both going back. Both are much too floppy around the ankles. I do like the colour so will continue my search for a better fit. I am very grateful for your input.
