Help with Bag and Shoes

I am thinking I will wear the slim black pants with the black and white polka dot peplum top tomorrow but am not sure about bag and shoes. I would like to wear a bag that is a hit of color - maybe red, purple, or deep blue. If I do, should I wear my go to nude shoe? Or should I wear color shoes and bag? Are the bag colors mentioned too bright/dark? I could do the light blue bag again or an orangy red slouchy bag (I bought in Quebec City a few years ago).

Dianthus, my memory is failing me as to specifically what the bags look like, but I'm really digging the idea of saturated purple, red, or orange with your black and white outfit.

You could definitely wear nude shoes with such gorgeous coloured bags.
Considering that your top is patterned that might be sufficient colour for the outfit?

Thank you ladies. I am leaning towards the red bag too. I'll have to decide whether to go with the croc finished deep red structured bag or the orange-red slouchy bag I am leaning towards the structure as it seems more ladylike and in line with the peplum.

I think there is already structure in a peplum and slim pants, a certain rigid geometry, so I'm voting for the slouchy bag (but keep in mind I'm biased towards softer bags myself, which *may* be influencing me). Shoes... what colours do you wear? Do you have grey or silver perhaps? That might be a nice bridge too, as an option to nude.

Dianthus, I say nude shoes and red structured bag as I agree with you that a structured bag will continue the lady like vibe of the peplum.

Will you post a photo? I don't recall the peplum top and I would love to see it
