HELP! Upcoming casual family event

Good morning YLF members,
I have a family party in october and I do not know what I am going to wear. I just put this outfit on, but I am not sure about it.
I would like to hear what you think about it. I did not show my waist for the last 5 years, so I am not feeling very sure about this outfit.

Dark turquoise silk top from Zara
Circle skirt (from my own eco friendly collection)
Art booties
Esprit snake fake leather clutch
Very old leather belt (do not know the brand anymore)

I am missing hoisery here, but I could not find anything in my closet. So, I guess it would work with some opac brow tights.

Firstly. You look great with your waist defined and you should definitely do it again. I like the outfit a lot and I can see a more opaque tight working well. I'm kind of wanting the belt to be more of a similar tone to your fab shoes to bookend them a little and pull the outfit together more.

I agree with Diane's points: define your waist with confidence; bookend belt and shoes; wear slightly more opaque tights that create a transition from the dark skirt to dark footwear. But not too dark, which would give too much weight to the lower part of the outfit.
In addition, I can see a more neutral top working well here, eg a silver or silver and black top to complement the bag.
You could also go for a completely different vibe with ladylike pointy toed pumps.
I think it's great that you are planning ahead for the occasion.

Your waist is lovely, and the full skirt looks nice on you! I think you should try and bring the colour of the boots in more. They do kind of bookend your hair, but I think the the suggestion of tights would be excellent.

I have been thinking about your suggestions and I aggree with you all. But anyway I was thinking it would still not be me. I am much more arty than this and it felt too ladylike and even though I agree with you that showcasing my waist with a brown belt and adding some brown hoisery would work (or changing the top for silver and so on). I think I will trying a more arty solution.
I will let you know.
